Embodiment

The Non-Linear Movement Method® – Your inner journey back to inner balance and resilience

The Non-Linear Movement Method® (NLM) is a holistic embodiment practice characterized by its simplicity and maximum freedom.

Embodiment itself describes the idea that your body and movements are inseparably connected to your emotional and psychological state. What you feel is reflected in your posture, and in reverse, the way you use and move your body influences your inner experience. The practice focuses on creating direct access to your inner world through the body.

NLM helps you to explore your inner world and to calm your nervous system. The method is particularly effective in gently releasing tension and blockages. Through conscious, free movement, you connect with your body and emotions—without pressure, without instructions. Every person is unique, and this method respects that. The minimal guidance allows you to have your own individual experience.

The Non-Linear Movement Method® was developed over decades by Michaela Boehm. Michaela is internationally known for her work with top performers, from Oscar and Grammy winners to successful businesspeople. Her practice has been featured in Gwyneth Paltrow’s Netflix show “Sex, Love & Goop” and in Will Smith’s autobiography “Will”.

The method combines Eastern knowledge from Kashmir Shaivism with Western psychology and clinical experience in the fields of trauma, addiction, and personal development. Steve James adapted the method so that it can be taught worldwide.
